Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer and director. Her name has been acknowledged for films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. She has won several awards for her work which includes an Oscar. The path to acting began on Broadway with a variety of Broadway and Off Broadway productions. The actress is a lover of acting ever since she started high school. Her debut role in a show in the fifth grade was as Helen Keller. Mumps caused her to be deaf and blind in one ear. But she refused to let that hinder her progress as an actor. While in college, she took classes in theatre and then moved from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania, to New York City in pursuit of her goal. Hunter made her Broadway debut due to an accidental encounter in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. The two worked together on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. After that, she relocated into Los Angeles and tried to find film parts. For Swing Shift, she landed the role of a back-up. Over the past three decades Holly Hunter has been on various TV series and movies. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has also won an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
